Nominations are hereby declared open for the Sinai Student Workers-UAW (SSW-UAW) Bargaining Committee (five [5] positions): All eligible SSW-UAW supporters [all Sinai PhD Graduate Student Workers represented by SSW-UAW who are currently employed by the school and have filled out a SSW-UAW authorization card or bargaining survey] are automatically nominated for the SSW-UAW Bargaining Committee.
The bargaining committee will be composed of five (5) positions.
Any eligible SSW-UAW supporter who wishes to accept the nomination for one of the five (5) Bargaining Committee positions listed above must indicate their intention in writing by e-mail to elections@sinaistudentworkers.org by inclusion in the body of the e-mail, by electronic scan (pdf), or by photograph attachment, or by hand delivery of a signed acceptance of the nomination to SSW-UAW Elections, 350 W 31st Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10016. Acceptances must be submitted no later than 5pm on Thursday, November 7th, 2024.

Candidate statements:
Each candidate may write and submit a candidate statement of no more than 250 words. These statements will be posted on the SSW-UAW website if there are elections. Address, phone number and email address must be included, but will not be counted toward the 250 words.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to submit the candidate statement. All candidate statements must be received by the time nominations close at 5pm on Thursday, November 7th, 2024.
Election Dates, Times and Locations:
In the event that the number of eligible candidates who accept nomination does not exceed five (5), such candidate(s) will be deemed elected by acclamation and no election will be held.
If more than five (5) eligible candidates accept nomination, an election will be conducted with the five (5) candidates who receive the highest number of votes being elected. All eligible SSW-UAW supporters [all Sinai PhD Graduate Student Workers represented by SSW-UAW who are currently employed by the institute and have filled out a SSW-UAW authorization card or bargaining survey] are eligible to vote. Members of the bargaining unit who have not done so may fill out an authorization card or bargaining survey prior to voting.
The election will take place electronically on Friday, November 15th, 2024, from 9am to 9pm.
A run-off election, if necessary, will be held on Thursday, November 21st, from 9am to 9pm.
Voters shall be entitled to vote for a total of five (5) candidates.
