Happy May Day! Today is International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day, and can be traced back to the late 19th-century labor movement in the United States (think 1886 Haymarket Massacre in Chicago).
We’d like to invite you to join us for today’s May Day action: Workers Unite for Palestine happening today in Foley Square at 4pm. We will be joining thousands of workers from unions across NYC, including some of our fellow UAW unions (like Student Workers of Columbia). More information is included on the flier above, and you can RSVP here (for the UAW local # field, you can select “other” and write in Sinai Student Workers). If you want to head down with us, we will be leaving from Aron hall at 3:30pm. You can also meet us at the Northwest corner of Foley Square around 4pm. We would love to see you there!
In solidarity,
Sinai Student Workers Organizing Committee
