Student workers voted by 97.8% (219 voting yes to 5 voting no) to ratify our initial bargaining goals. This result builds on our 90% vote to form our union, and demonstrates a clear mandate for negotiating for needed improvements to our working conditions at Sinai, something the Sinai administration is currently refusing to do.
The goals were developed based on bargaining surveys filled out by a strong majority of student workers, as well as from town halls and in-person discussions. We are very excited to develop more specific proposals that address each of these goals and your feedback in detail while we continue to urge the Sinai administration to meet us at the bargaining table.
