In June, we filed to form our union with over 80% supermajority support from student workers at Sinai. Despite this, Sinai has disappointingly decided to take the position that we are not workers and has refused to recognize our union. As we move forward with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) process, we will continue to organize and urge Sinai to stop denying our right to form a union.
To celebrate our supermajority support, meet with other student workers including new first year students, and discuss next steps for our union, please join us at our Union Summer Social at Lexington Publick Thursday August 17, 6-8 pm.
Please RSVP here so that we have an estimate of how many people to expect, and please share this event with fellow student workers!
The more of us who participate and demonstrate our support, the stronger our message will be to Sinai that we do important work for Sinai’s mission and that we deserve a union. Sign on to our letter asking Sinai to agree to a fair process to verify majority support for our union!
Please reach out if you have any questions or feedback!
