Because Sinai declined to meet and requested we use the processes of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), we filed for recognition with the NLRB on Tuesday. A delegation also took a trip to the NLRB offices in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday to deliver the cards of support for unionization that a supermajority of us signed. This will allow legal proceedings to start, setting us on the course for an election and formal recognition of our union in the weeks and months ahead.
To discuss our next steps together as a union, we are having a town hall TONIGHT, June 8th, at 5PM in Annenberg 5-205! We will discuss filing, election timelines, and building our union’s strength in the months to come. A Zoom option is available:
